Cane Creek Elementary
4th
graders know how to be Environmentalist and was able to prove their
knowledge when they participated in, "Who Wants to be an
Environmentalist" game.
These
students from Cane Creek and hundreds of others from all elementary
schools within Putnam County recycled all their pop-top pull-tabs
to help raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville. In
doing so the contest also warranted each participating school to
receive funds from the Clean Commission, McDonalds, and Coca-Cola
of Cookeville to purchase environmental books for their library.
Three hundred pounds of pull-tabs were collected in the 6 weeks the
program ran.
