Putnam County household garbage is shipped to Middle Point Landfill in Murfeesboro, TN in the amount of 43,141.08 tons in the 2006-2007 fiscal year. Construction waste taken to Putnam County landfill 7181 tons for 2006-2007 fiscal year.

Putnam County exceeded the 25% mandatory state waste reduction goal. Putnam County's waste reduction in the 2006-2007 fiscal year was 67.79%.
