Adopt A Street
Adopting a city or county roadway enables our community to remain beautiful plus gives you as an individual or group a sense of pride and ownership in your community. This program is easy to implement and not overly time consuming. You are only obligated to pick up your adopted roadway a minimum of 4 times a year. All you have to do is follow the instruction below to enable the Clean Commission and government employees to serve you better.
- Call the Clean Commission office at 537-3278 one week prior to your clean-up to report the clean-up date. This allows the Clean Commission ample time to arrange for trash removal and supplies you may need to be delivered. We will supply you with bags, gloves and vests.
- After the clean-up please email us or call us with the following information: number of volunteers, number of hours per volunteer and number or trash bags collected.
- Participants must be at least 12 years of age and accompanied by an adult during the clean-up.
- The group must read safety guide lines prior to your first pick-up.
- After your fourth pick-up, sponors will be sought to fund signage to be placed at each end of your adopted street with your group’s name on it.
